Setting up your email with Yola Mail

Yola Mail is the email service available when you purchase a domain name from Yola.

Yola Mail is linked to your custom domain, so we'll make your Yola Mail account active until your domain expires. The purchase price is prorated monthly. Yola Mail costs $9.96 per mailbox per year, and we have automatically calculated the price based on when your domain is due to expire. Yola Mail includes a single mailbox with unlimited aliases and up to 5GB of storage.

You will be able to login to a web interface in order to check your email as well as configure your mail to be downloaded to email clients such as Outlook Express, Thunderbird, etc.

Getting started with Yola Mail

  1. Log into your Yola account and click the Email tab along the top of your page.
  2. Select the domain from the drop-down menu for which you want to create an email address.
  3. Click the Get Yola Mail button.
  4. A checkout screen will open up, allowing you to make the payment.
  5. Click Configure Yola Mail after making the payment.
  6. On the next page, you will create a username and password to add a mailbox for your domain. Please note: This is the username and password you will use to access your mail. It is not the same as the username and password you use to log in to Yola. For example, if you would like to have the email address "contact@yourdomain.com" as your main email address, then type in "contact" and a password in the two fields.
  7. Click Create mailbox.
  8. Your email address will now be configured.

Accessing your email (sending and receiving email)

Managing aliases

An email alias is an email address that forwards an email to a single mailbox. For instance, you can have "info@yourdomain.com" and "support@yourdomain.com" that forwards to one mailbox. You can create as many aliases for a single mailbox as you'd like.

To create an alias for your mailbox:

  1. Go to your Yola Mail page after logging into your Yola account.
  2. Click Manage aliases to add another alias.
  3. Type in your alias.
  4. Click Add alias.
  5. All emails sent to that email alias address will be received in your mailbox.

Adding another mailbox

  1. Go to your Yola Mail page after logging into your Yola account.
  2. Click Get an additional mailbox.
  3. Follow the steps to purchase a new mailbox (as per the original steps on activating Yola Mail).
  4. Any new mailboxes you purchase will be able to have unlimited aliases.
