Providing access to password-protected pages

If you are looking for a way to allow people to request access to your password protected pages and collect the data (e.g. contact details) of the users on your site, we currently do not have a registration feature. This is a much-requested feature and we hope to add it in the future.

If you would like to encourage visitors to leave their contact details in exchange for the access to your password-protected pages, you can try this workaround:

  1. Password protect the pages on your site which you want people to sign up for in order to view.
  2. Place a Wufoo form on your sign up page to collect the data and permissions for marketing communication from your visitors.
  3. You can either add the login ID and password to the "Thank you" message when someone fills in your form, or you can email them this information once you approve their membership.

This approach does not provide you with absolute security as there is only a single login and password for every person. However, it does allow you to collect information about your website visitors such as names, email addresses.

Please remember that you are obliged to seek the permission of each visitor to be contacted in the future so make sure to add a way for them to opt-in.
