Tracking inventory with Basic PayPal eCommerce Widgets

If you are using the basic PayPal widgets (which is only available to users who signed up before December 17, 2016), they do not have this feature. However, you can add PayPal buttons connected to your inventory by customizing your settings on PayPal.  Please visit this link for more information: Create a Button That Tracks Inventory Levels.

  1. Once you have the code, open your site in the Sitebuilder.
  2. Go to Widgets.
  3. Select Popular from the drop-down menu.
  4. Drag and drop an HTML widget onto your page.
  5. Paste the code into the space provided.
  6. Save your changes and click Publish to make them live.

This will ensure that your product is never oversold, as well as give you an email letting you know when your stock gets low.

Please keep in mind that while the code may work now, we cannot guarantee that it will continue to work in the future. Codes can become obsolete and/or conflict with the enhancements made to provide you with the best Sitebuilder possible.

Alternatively, consider the Online Store. With a range of management features from order management to stock management, the Online Store is scalable, flexible and powerful. To read more about what the Online Store can do for your business, take a look at our FAQ and Getting Started tutorial.
