Tutorial: Using Google+ Badges

If you have a Google+ Page, or a personal profile, you can add a Google+ badge to your site. The Google+ Badge is a customizable widget that helps you connect your site to your Google+ Page, or personal profile.

The badge allows visitors to +1 you, add you to their circles and share content directly from your site without having to leave it!

Example of Google+ badges

Google+ pages are a powerful marketing and promotion tool. Before you get started, take a look this Google blog entry, and this article, about how using Google+ Pages can benefit your business profile on the web. You can also take a look at this articleabout the strategic benefits of using Google+ Pages.
Of course, even if you don't have a Google+ Page, you can add a Google+ badge to your site and encourage visitors to your site to interact with you and share your space.

To get your Google+ badge, visit the Google+ Badge page where you will find steps for creating a personal or business badge.

Once you've created your Google+ badge, copy the HTML code provided.

  1. n your Sitebuilder, go to Widgets and select Popular from the drop-down menu.
  2. Then, drag and drop an HTML widget and paste in the copied code.
  3. Save and republish your site.

Please keep in mind that while the code may work now, we cannot guarantee that it will continue to work in the future. Codes can become obsolete and/or conflict with the enhancements made to provide you with the best Sitebuilder possible.
