If you buy a domain name through Yola or use one of our subdomains, your domain will automatically work with or without the "www" prefix.
If you have bought your domain elsewhere, you need to make sure that your DNS settings are configured correctly to support the "www" prefix. You need to set up two A records.
- Some domain registrars require one A record with the hostname "@" and one with the hostname "www".
- Other domain registrars allow you to create one hostname called "domain.com" and another "www.domain.com" (replace "domain" with your own address).
- Both should point to our IP address: 184.72.229.176
If you require assistance with this, please contact your domain registrar for support.
For more information, please see this link: Publish to a domain you already own. Once your domain is pointed to Yola you will be able to publish your site from within the Yola Sitebuilder.
Please note: You will need to upgrade to Yola Bronze, Yola Silver, or Yola Gold or be in one of our partner programs in order to publish to a domain pointing to Yola.
If you continue struggling, consider transferring your domain to Yola so we have control over your settings. Here is a tutorial with instructions: Transferring Your Domain to Yola.
